Psychological workshops for children

In November and December, our foundation held a series of psychological workshops for children and teenagers who are refugees from Ukraine. We focused on developing empathy, self-acceptance training for teenagers, and teaching assertiveness. Psychological support plays a key role in their adaptation and overcoming difficulties.

“Power of Electronics” course!

Yesterday, we had the final lesson of the “Power of Electronics” course!

The kids independently created a device to check the integrity of electrical circuits and connections in schematics and printed circuit boards. This tool will allow them to look for simple malfunctions in the devices and gadgets they’ve soldered and launched throughout the course, like a robot with electric drive and sensors, metal detector, electronic thermometer, LED flashlight with two modes, an electronic piano, a light-music bell, and an FM radio receiver.

Starting Your Own Business

On December 2nd, 2023, we had an info session dedicated to a very hot topic – “Starting Your Own Business“.

Attendees learned about the key aspects of entrepreneurship: the process of registering a company, types of taxation, potential expenses in the initial stage of starting a business. We also discussed important issues related to the legalization of entrepreneurs.

New Year’s performances

For the past 8 years, our charity foundation has been organizing New Year’s performances for migrant children and the residents of Poznań, Poland. “The Town Musicians of Bremen,” “Pinocchio,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Pippi Longstocking,” and “Beauty and the Beast” are just some of the fairy tales our little audience got to enjoy.

Neural Networks: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Every Thursday, we run the course “Neural Networks: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” here in Poznań.

Participants have already learned what artificial intelligence (AI) is, its role in the modern world, and how to use it to improve efficiency in both scientific research and business.

Future-proof: kids dive into blockchain

Recently, our charity put on a super cool workshop for kids and teens. They got to make their own 3D models of cryptocurrencies and learned all about how cryptos work and how to keep their digital wallets safe. Plus, they even made their own crypto wallets and solved some tricky puzzles with QR codes.

Integration tours around Poznań

In July, our foundation organized a series of integration tours around Poznań for migrants and refugees, with over 150 people participating. The goal was to bring participants closer to the city’s history and help them feel a part of it. The tours, “Królewskim tropem” and “Ostrów Tumski”, were led by professional guide Marcin Lutomski, director of the Muzeum Pyry in Poznań.

Emotional Burnout: Training for Staff

Our staff work with refugees and other people in need every day. This work requires a tremendous amount of energy and emotional input, but it also carries the risk of emotional burnout.

We care about the well-being of each of our employees. Recently, we invited an experienced specialist – Yulia Talaieva , who conducted a psychological training on the topic “How to avoid emotional burnout“.

Child Protection: an educational encounter

In June, the team of our foundation participated in an educational meeting titled “Protecting Children – Child Protection Standards“. We are deeply grateful to the “Child at the Center” Foundation for imparting such valuable information to us. The goal was to enhance the skills of our staff and to increase our knowledge on how to properly respond and whom to contact in the event of a child’s rights being violated.

Empowering youth: culture & volunteerism unite

In our Foundation, we engage volunteers from the age of 8. Their dedication is remarkable, actively participating in our cultural activities. They take on heroes’ roles, assist in costume preparation, and partake in social initiatives.
