In July, our foundation organized a series of integration tours around Poznań for migrants and refugees, with over 150 people participating. The goal was to bring participants closer to the city’s history and help them feel a part of it. The tours, “Królewskim tropem” and “Ostrów Tumski”, were led by professional guide Marcin Lutomski, director of the Muzeum Pyry in Poznań.
We received a lot of thanks from participants (over 100 of them) for the chance to get to know the history and culture of Poznań better. Such events definitely help their integration into a new country.
Due to the huge interest and requests from our charges, we plan to organize several more tour cycles in different parts of the city and beyond. Getting to know the cultural and historical heritage of where you live is a key element of integration. These activities not only broaden horizons but also make it easier for new city residents to adapt, making them feel more confident and comfortable in their new surroundings.
